(Feb. 20) – Squire Patton Boggs has lured Jeffrey Schagren, former general counsel and regional human resources leader of Accor Business and Leisure North America, to lead its North America Hospitality practice.
Schagren joins the firm’s Dallas office as of counsel after more than four years at Accor, where he directed all legal issues, including development, risk management, M&A and negotiating and drafting sales, franchising and management agreements for the North America, Central America and Caribbean regions of one of the largest hotel companies in the world.
Schagren played a role in Accor’s $2.7 billion acquisition of FRHI Holdings LTD and the hotel company’s $1.9 billion divestiture of Motel 6 from Accor to Blackstone.
