(Oct. 30) – Reed Smith announced today that Peggy Heeg, former general counsel at El Paso Corporation, has joined its Houston office as a partner.
Heeg was most recently at Norton Rose Fulbright, where she was a past member of its executive committee. She specializes in pipeline development, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright in 2003, Heeg served as vice president and general counsel of El Paso Corp. for more than a decade. At the time, El Paso Corp. owned the largest natural gas pipeline system in the U.S. and was the nation’s largest provider of natural gas.
Heeg also has significant board level experience. She has sat on the boards of Eagle Rock Energy, a publicly traded master limited partnership for whom she chaired the governance committee, and Columbia Pipeline Partners LP.
Reed Smith now has 66 lawyers based in Houston.
