(Jan. 3) – Gregory Etzel, former vice president of legal affairs at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, has officially made the move to Morgan Lewis, the firm reported Wednesday.

Etzel was part of a new group of healthcare attorneys Morgan Lewis announced in December, but he wasn’t expected to join the firm until after the new year.

Prior to joining the UT Medical Branch’s legal staff in 2013, Etzel practiced at BakerHostetler with recent Morgan Lewis lateral partner hires Scott McBride, Susan Feigin Harris and Donna Clark. He focused his practice on representing hospitals and other providers in regulatory matters and payment disputes.
