Kelly Hart and Cantey Hanger – Fort Worth’s two largest law firms – announced their partner promotions his week.
Kelly Hart elevated five attorneys to partner firmwide, including four in the firm’s Fort Worth headquarters. The other new partner offices in New Orleans.
Jonathan Cranz specializes in public finance with experience representing both borrowers and lenders. He has advised municipalities, counties, school districts, hospital districts, municipal utility districts, fresh water supply districts, water control and improvement districts. He received his law degree from SMU.
Brian Garrett concentrates his commercial litigation practice on landlord-tenant disputes, complex breach of fiduciary duty and fraudulent transfer lawsuits. He graduate from Baylor Law School.
Katherine Hopkins focuses her practice on bankruptcy and business reorganization, including the representation of both individual and business clients in various debtor/creditor matters. In 2016, the St. Mary’s University School of Law graduate received the Romina L. Mulloy-Bossio Achievement Award recognizing her achievements as a young bankruptcy lawyer.
Andrew Neal’s practice focuses on oil and gas transactions. Before going to law school at St. Mary’s, he worked as a landman and right-of-way agent for oil and gas companies throughout Texas.
Cantey Hanger promoted two attorneys to equity partner.
Brian Brisco specializes in health care litigation, including medical malpractice defense and the represneation of health care providers in administrative proceedings. He received his law degree from Baylor, where he won the Brian J. Serr Excellence in Appellate Advocacy Award.
Joshua Ross joined Cantey Hanger in 2015 after working in the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, where he tried more than 70 trials to verdict. The St. Mary’s law graduate focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense and health law.
