(June 3) – Fox Rothschild recently announced that the law firm partnered with the Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance to host an inaugural essay contest for Dallas 7th graders at the Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy.
The students were asked to write an essay explaining how and why bystanders chose to ultimately support the Nazi regime by their behavior and spread hatred.
“As the number of Holocaust survivors dwindles, it is vital that we teach today’s youth about this momentous time in history to ensure it is never forgotten and never repeated,” Clint David, Fox Rothschild’s Dallas office managing partner, said in a statement.
David and Mary Pat Higgins, the Museum’s president and CEO, honored Ivan Leiva, Marcus Johnson and Pablo Torres – the three authors of the top essays – at the Museum’s board meeting in May at the Jewish Community Center.
