Greenberg Traurig announced recently that Dallas corporate attorney Tom Woolsey has joined the firm as a shareholder.
Woolsey, a SMU Dedman School of Law alum, was most recently at Foley Gardere. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, minority and control investments, joint ventures and fund formations.
“The Greenberg Traurig platform is uniquely well suited to support clients’ needs and more generally, to support clients’ continued growth in both domestic and international markets,” Woolsey says. “I plan to play a significant role in the continued growth and development of the firm, particularly in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and energy.”
Two sectors Woolsey predicts to see increased M&A activity in are technology and biotech.
“We also support many strategic clients in their continuing efforts to integrate technology hardware and software into their operations,” he adds. “This combination continues to decrease costs and increase the efficiency of the operations for many clients.”
