Roland Garcia, a shareholder in the Houston office of Greenberg Traurig, recently received the 2013 Leadership in Action Award from Leadership Houston, an organization that brings together leaders in the greater Houston area to explore their personal values and understand more fully the opportunities and challenges of leadership in service to communities.
“Roland’s dedication to improving the lives of Houstonians reflects Greenberg Traurig’s strong tradition of public service,” said Doug Atnipp, co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Houston office, in a statement issued by the firm.
Garcia, who was the first minority to be elected President of the Houston Bar Association, focuses his practice on litigation and appellate law. He is an alumnus of Leadership Houston and also serves as an active board member of the Greater Houston Partnership, Memorial Hermann Health System, Harris County Hospital District Foundation and Houston Arts Alliance.
