(July 20) – Haynes and Boone announced yesterday that Dallas senior counsel Ann Saegert is the 2016 recipient of the Distinguished Real Estate Attorney Lifetime Achievement Award by the Texas Bar Association’s Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section.

Saegert, a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, has been with Haynes and Boone since 1978. She served as chair of the firm’s real estate section for seven years.

She has also held leadership positions for various professional organizations, including serving as president of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, U.S. treasurer of the Anglo American Real Property Institute and chair of the Dallas Real Estate Council Associate Leadership Council.

“Ann has been a pillar of the state and national real estate bars for decades, so I can’t think of a better recipient for this impressive award,” Tim Powers, Haynes and Boone managing partner, said in a statement. “Along the way, she has mentored an army of young lawyers at our firm and others while tirelessly giving her time to a wide variety of professional and community service organizations. We join the state bar section in applauding Ann’s rich and wonderful career in real estate law.”
