The Salvation Army’s DFW Metroplex Command, its largest U.S. operation, has elected Haynes and Boone’s Richard Martin as chairman of its advisory board.
Martin, a real estate partner in Haynes and Boone’s Dallas office, will serve a two-year term ending in September 2015. As chairman of the advisory board, he will oversee 76 community leaders who advise the organization in the areas of program delivery, management services, marketing and fundraising.
This is not Martin’s first leadership position in the community. The SMU Dedman School of Law graduate is also currently serving as the director of Goodwill Industries of Dallas and the director of the Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers, Inc. and has previously served as president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Dallas.
