(May 31) – Holland & Knight recently announced that international disputes expert Juan Alcalá has joined the firm’s Austin office.
Alcalá was most recently the co-chair of Gardere’s international dispute resolution practice. He focuses his practice on disputes relating to Latin America and involving the energy, technology, construction, automotive, financial and pharmaceutical industries.
The University of Texas College of Law graduate said in a statement that Holland & Knight’s strong presence in Mexico and Colombia helped draw him to the firm. The Tampa, Florida-based firm now has five lawyers in its Austin office, which opened in 2014.
Outside of his law practice, Alcalá sits on the advisory board for the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center for Energy, Law & Business at the University of Texas.
