Holland & Knight Adds Dallas Corporate Tax Partner

October 31, 2018 Brooks Igo

Dallas corporate tax pro Mark Melton has joined Holland & Knight as a partner, the firm announced on Wednesday.

Melton has practiced for the last decade at Hunton & Williams, now Hunton Andrews Kurth, where he was an associate. He is a graduate of SMU Dedman School of Law and concentrates his practice on federal and international taxation of M&A transactions primarily for private equity and hedge funds.

“Texas is a hot market right now and H&K’s platform is geared to growth in the private equity & M&A space,” Melton says. “The opportunity to help H&K grow in this area was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.”

During his tenure at Hunton, Melton received the firm’s E. Randolph Williams Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service from 2009 to 2016. He is also a past winner of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation Award of Excellence.
