Housing Crisis Center Announces Texas Bar Foundation Grant

May 27, 2019 Brooks Igo

Dallas’ Housing Crisis Center announced this month that it has received a $7,500 Legal Services grant from the Texas Bar Foundation.

The partnership between HCC and the Texas Bar Foundation connects individuals in imminent danger of becoming homeless to pro bono legal advice.

“Our free legal workshops provide information to empower thousands of individuals annually to fight for their rights,” HCC Chief Executive Officer Kelvin Brown said in the announcement. “We are proud to have Texas Bar Foundation partner with us to continue offering the service that sparked our agency being established so many years ago.”

The Landlord / Tenant workshops are held every second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at the HCC main office.
