Houston-based intellectual property law firm Patterson + Sheridan has opened an office in Huntsville, Alabama, the firm announced on Tuesday.
The Huntsville outpost – which includes office managing partner Eric Moore, counsel Eddie Kiessling and associate Josh Noles – is the firm’s eighth office firmwide. More than two-thirds of the firm’s 90+ attorneys are based in Texas (Houston, Dallas, Waco).
“We see Huntsville, with its robust research and technology sectors in aerospace, defense and advanced manufacturing, as one of America’s primary ‘cities of the future,’” Todd Patterson, managing partner of Patterson + Sheridan, said in the firm’s announcement.
Huntsville is home to the U.S. Army’s Redstone Arsenal, NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, and Cummings Research Park, the second-largest research park in the U.S. with more than 320 companies. Forty-seven Fortune 500 companies have operations in Huntsville.
