Jordan, Lynch & Cancienne, a civil trial law firm in Houston, announced on Tuesday that Alaina King Benford has joined the firm as a partner.
Benford lateraled over from Norton Rose Fulbright, where she practiced for nearly two decades. She represents global energy companies, pipeline companies, municipal and transportation authorities in cases involving commercial disputes, pipeline and industrial safety, construction, eminent domain and condemnation, real estate and land use, and wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury matters.
The Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law graduate has developed special expertise in representing entities involved in acquiring easements, property and rights-of-way for large projects involving pipelines, water pipelines and transportation projects. She has handled more than 100 eminent domain and condemnation matters from project inception through trial, according to her law firm bio.
