Houston-based The Sterling Group announced this month that it has promoted Max Klupchak to general counsel.
Klupchak joined the private equity firm in 2015 from Kirkland & Ellis, where he was an associate who represented private equity firms and strategic investors in leveraged buyouts, minority investments, public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and other corporate matters. He will oversee all legal matters at the firm.
The Sterling Group has $1.9 billion in assets under management.
