Houston Trial Partners Join Sorrels Law

March 25, 2026 Elle Grinnell

Trial lawyers Leah Graham and Jim Rensimer have joined Sorrels Law in Houston. They will focus their practices on complex, high-stakes litigation, including wrongful death, personal injury and commercial disputes, according to a news release.

Before joining Sorrels, Graham was a partner at Rusty Hardin & Associates for seven years, where she represented clients in a range of complex and high-profile matters. Before that, she spent seven years at five different firms, beginning her career at Kelly, Durham & Pittard in Dallas.

Rensimer has more than two decades of experience handling personal injury and commercial litigation matters. He has practiced in a variety of settings, including leading his own firm, working with insurance defense firms, and serving as a partner at litigation boutiques. He began his legal career as a trial lawyer at Markle & Ramos in Houston.

“These two additions are game changers. For our clients, having trial‑ready lawyers isn’t a slogan — it’s the difference between leverage and limitation,” founding partner Randy Sorrels said in the release. “Jim and Leah strengthen our ability to handle the toughest cases from intake through verdict.”

Graham and Rensimer focus on complex civil litigation, including wrongful death, serious personal injury and high-stakes commercial disputes. Their practices also include matters involving fraud, business torts, employment claims and construction and energy disputes.

Graham earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2009 and her law degree from Baylor University School of Law in 2013.

Rensimer earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987, his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 1996 and a master’s degree in cyber policy and risk analysis from Utica University in 2018.
