By Brooks Igo – (October 10) – Hunton & Williams recently announced it added depth to its real estate practice in Dallas with the addition of James “J.R.” England as counsel.
England, whose practice focuses on complex commercial real estate transactions, joins his new firm from Akin Gump. He also has practiced at another Big Law firm, Locke Lord, and was in-house at TPG Capital for one year.
“JR has a winning combination of domestic and international real estate experience that blends perfectly with our clients’ needs,” Howard Schreiber, co-head of Hunton & Williams’ global real estate practice, said in a statement.
One of the more interesting projects England has advised on is the world’s first carbon-neutral city, which is under construction in Masdar City near Abu Dhabi.
England is the sixth attorney to join Hunton & Williams in Dallas over the past six weeks. The Richmond, Va. – based firm has also added associates Kevin Brooks, Tyler Cotton, Katie Hull, Jesse Kobernick and Lindsay Kirton.
