Norton Rose Fulbright announced Monday that international deal lawyer John Chrisman has come home to Texas and joined the firm’s Dallas office as a partner.
Chrisman – who has advised governments, companies and financial institutions on M&A, capital markets, private equity and venture capital transactions – previously practiced in Dubai at Clyde & Co.
The University of Texas School of Law alumnus has worked all over the globe, including Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Singapore and Sydney.
“John is a tremendous corporate lawyer with strong international experience and deep client relationships,” Daryl Lansdale, Norton Rose Fulbright US managing partner, said in a statement. “He provides valuable counsel for businesses across key industries, including energy, financial institutions and technology.”
While Chrisman is admitted to practice law in California, his application for license in Texas is still pending. Norton Rose Fulbright, in its announcement, said he is currently “working under the direct supervision of an enrolled, active member of the Texas bar who takes responsibility for the quality of his work.”
