(March 18) – Jackson Walker recently named J. Scott Rose the new managing partner of its San Antonio office. Rose succeeds Patrick Tobin, who had led the office since 1995.
Rose, who has also been elected to the firm’s management committee, said he hopes to build on Tobin’s commendable leadership the past 20 years.
“My goal is to maintain the firm’s position as a leader in the local community,” said Rose, who is the president of the board of directors of the San Antonio Chamber Choir.
Rose says the office’s corporate and litigation practice groups are hot. He personally has two matters involving fracking on his desk and he expects more work to come out of litigation involving leases in oil and gas.
Should oil prices stay low, he predicts an increase in labor and employment and bankruptcy work.
