(Feb. 27) – Jackson Walker announced on Wednesday that William Jenkins is the new managing partner of the firm’s Fort Worth office. He succeeds Susan Halsey, who passed away from cancer in December.
Jenkins, a trial and appellate lawyer, said he hopes to “continue pursuing the goals set by Susan to grow the office with high quality lawyers and provide high quality representation to clients.
“Fort Worth is a growing community and that provides more opportunities,” said Jenkins, who has been at Jackson Walker for his entire legal career.
The Dallas-based firm added two lawyers to the approximately 20-lawyer office in the past year. Jenkins says the change in oil prices should provide opportunities for the office’s transactional, litigation and bankruptcy practices.
Jenkins is a fourth-generation Texan and graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law. He has served on the executive committee of the board of the Arts Council of Fort Worth & Tarrant County and on the Affordable Houston Subcommittee for Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.
