By Brooks Igo

(Feb. 18) – Jackson Walker recently announced the arrival of labor and employment lawyer Nick Spiliotis as a partner in its Houston office. He joins the Texas-based firm from Ogletree Deakins.

Spiliotis, who began his career at a full-service firm in New York, said he wanted to work at a firm with a bigger footprint in Texas and attorneys outside of labor and employment.

“I appreciate being surrounded by non-employment attorneys,” he said. “They see the world with a different lens and make the practice of law more satisfying.”

The University of Texas School of Law graduate expects to see a rise in employment litigation and employment work created by mergers in the energy sector as a result of the dip in the price of oil.
