Jones Day has recently appointed new leaders of its Texas operations.
Litigation partner Matt Kairis has been named partner-in-charge of the firm’s Texas region and M&A partner Stephen Olson is the new partner-in-charge of the Houston office. Hilda Galvan remains head of Jones Day’s Dallas office.
Kairis, who is based in Dallas, is currently lead counsel for all collegiate institutions in the NCAA football concussion litigation, a consolidation of more than 100 putative class actions. He has previously served as head of litigation of Jones Day’s Columbus office.
Olson represents private equity firms, private and public companies and investment banking firms in acquisition and divestiture transactions, complex joint ventures, registered offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities.
