(Jan. 16) – Jones Day has relocated a Pittsburgh-based partner, and co-head of the firm’s construction practice, to its Dallas office to meet the growing needs of its Texas clients.
Roy Powell focuses his practice on commercial litigation, construction, major infrastructure and energy disputes. He has recently successfully defended Texas Keystone, a U.S.-based oil and gas exploration company, against $1.6 billion in claims and U.S. Steel against construction claims of more than $40 million.
“He adds to a very deep roster of litigation talent that includes more than 60 lawyers representing clients in a variety of disputes,” Hilda Galvan, Dallas partner-in-charge, said in a statement. “His relocation to Dallas is great for our clients and the opportunities we see in Texas.”
