Jones Walker strengthened its Houston litigation practice by merging with Fowler Rodriguez, a Louisiana law firm that specializes in maritime law.
The New Orleans-based Jones Walker announced on Thursday that a group of 11 attorneys – headlined by Fowler Rodriguez founder George Fowler, III – have joined three of the firm’s offices. The sizeable lateral group includes Houston partners Luis Enrique Cuervo and Michael McCoy.
Cuervo counsels investors and multinational companies engaged in international business, including in Latin America, on oil and gas, mining, admiralty, insurance and reinsurance matters.
McCoy focuses his litigation practice on insurance coverage disputes, including matters involving multiple parties, multiple lines of insurance, reinsurance, retail and wholesale insurance brokers.
