(Sept. 19) – Kelly Hart & Hallman announced today that former Deputy Securities Commissioner of Texas Ronak Patel has joined the firm’s Austin office as a partner.
Patel, a Baylor Law School graduate with 13 years of experience at the Texas State Securities Board, will focus his practice on government investigations and white-collar defense. He has led high-profile investigations of Ponzi fraud schemes, broker misconduct and complex investment products.
In his role as deputy securities commissioner of Texas, Patel worked with the securities commissioner to manage the Texas State Securities Board. Prior to serving in that capacity, Patel worked as the director of inspections and compliance.
