(May 31) – Kelly Hart & Hallman recently announced that Fort Worth partner Marshall Searcy has received the Tarrant County Bar Association’s Blackstone Award.

The award, named after British jurist and legal scholar Sir William Blackstone, is given in recognition of a career that exemplifies professional aptitude, integrity and courage, according to a statement. It is the TCBA’s most prestigious award.

Searcy has tried hundreds of cases in his career. The Texas Bar Foundation awarded Searcy with its Ronald D. Secrest Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award in 2013. He is also a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates.

The University of Texas School of Law graduate is a member of Kelly Hart’s Executive Committee, a capacity he has served in since 2002.
