Keurig Dr Pepper Legal’s ‘Visionary Leadership’ and ‘Transformational Influence’

August 25, 2025 Mark Curriden

Editor’s note: This morning, Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. announced that it has agreed to acquire Amsterdam-based JDE Peet’s for $18.4 billion. The megadeal was led in-house by chief legal officer Anthony Shoemaker, VP & assistant general counsel Mark Jackson and SVP & assistant general counsel Lisa Dalfonso, with a New York team from Paul Weiss serving as outside counsel. It’s been a busy couple of years for Shoemaker and his department, who were honored as the DFW Corporate Legal Department of the Year in January at the DFW Corporate Counsel Awards. We are resharing The Texas Lawbook’s profile of Shoemaker and the KDP in-house legal team from earlier this year.

Anthony Shoemaker tracks his success as a lawyer and a leader back to his high school days when he worked at a local golf club repair shop in the Houston suburbs.
