King & Spalding announced Monday that trial partner Mel Bailey has joined the firm’s Austin office.
Bailey, who has tried more than 65 cases to verdict in his career, lateraled over from Dallas litigation boutique Bailey, Crowe, Arnold & Majors, where he was a name partner.
The St. Mary’s School of Law graduate focuses his practice on product liability and business tort cases.
“Mel is a well-regarded lawyer in the Texas legal community, and is held in high esteem for his quick mind and ability to help his clients navigate the challenges of protracted litigation,” Mike Stenglein, managing partner of King & Spalding’s Austin office, said in a statement.
King & Spalding has almost 40 lawyers in Austin.
