K&L Gates enhanced its construction and infrastructure practice in Houston by recruiting Bart Turner, a former vice president of KBR, Inc.’s legal department, to join the firm as a partner.
Turner most recently practiced at Andrews Myers. He advises owners and contractors on construction-related matters including complex engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) transactions, front-end engineering design (FEED) and pre-FEED transactions, construction-related change orders and claims resolution, project risk management, lien and bond claims, insurance and workouts.
Eight of the 17 years Turner worked at KBR were as vice president of the legal department. During his tenure at the Houston-based company, Turner handled legal matters for the company’s engineering and construction in the Americas after overseeing its hydrocarbons projects around the world, including several major Australian liquefied natural gas projects.
