(Feb. 17) – K&L Gates announced yesterday that corporate attorney Bryce Linsenmayer has joined the firm as a partner in Houston.

Linsenmayer was previously at BakerHostetler, where he practiced for a little over two years.

He says the opportunity to join K&L Gates presented itself after he worked on an IPO in London this past year with K&L Gates attorneys that he has known since working with them at Haynes and Boone earlier in his career.

“The familiarity with the firm and its domestic and international platform just made sense,” he said.

The University of Texas School of Law graduate advises issuers and investment bankers in public offerings, strategic partnerships and domestic and foreign private placements of debt and equity securities. He has a particular expertise in advising on public offerings on the AIM market for smaller cap companies on the London Stock Exchange.

Linsenmayer also advises corporate boards on insolvency and pre-insolvency situations. Last year, he advised a special committee of the board of directors of Houston-based BPZ Resources in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy and liquidation.
