(Aug. 8) – Locke Lord recently announced that Austin corporate partner Michelle Earley and Dallas appellate partner Scott Hastings have been elected to the membership of the American Law Institute, a nonprofit that produces scholarly work to improve the law.
Earley and Hastings are two of six newly-elected ALI members – including judges, lawyers and law professors – from Texas.
Earley sits on Locke Lord’s executive committee and serves on the firm’s diversity and lateral hire committees. She has acted as the general counsel to the Austin Chamber of Commerce in 2017.
Hastings has argued before the U.S. Supreme Court and focuses his trial practice on constitutional law, energy litigation, federal False Claims Act matters and general commercial disputes.
