(June 5) – McGinnis Lochridge, one of Austin’s oldest law firms, announced this week that it will open a Dallas office in mid-June.
Felicity Fowler, a former labor and employment partner at Haynes and Boone, has joined to lead the new office, the firm’s fourth overall. She will split time between Dallas and Houston.
“Our growth into the Dallas market is a result of client demand,” Doug Dodds, managing partner of McGinnis Lochridge, said in a statement.
The Austin law firm also announced that Houston attorney Donald Jackson, another ex-partner at Haynes and Boone, has returned to McGinnis Lochridge, the firm he started his career at. Jackson previously led Haynes and Boone’s oil and gas litigation practice.
The two new additions are the latest moves for McGinnis Lochridge in what has been an aggressive 2018. The 65-lawyer firm has signed 16 attorneys so far this year and opened two new offices (Dallas and Decatur).
