McGuireWoods Boosts Oil & Gas Expertise in Texas

August 26, 2019 Brooks Igo

McGuireWoods has boosted its oil and gas capabilities in Texas with two recent lateral partner additions.

On Monday, the firm announced that M&A lawyer Patrick Knapp has joined the firm from Robert Anderson Law.

Knapp, who will split time between Dallas and Houston, is a former managing counsel for Bridger Logistics, the midstream division of Ferrellgas Partners. He represents producers, marketers, logistics providers and refiners in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Earlier this month, McGuireWoods signed Houston intellectual property litigator Eric Schlichter from Winston & Strawn, where he helped launch the Chicago firm’s Houston office in 2011. Schlichter handles patent infringement and trade secret cases for clients in the oil and gas and technology industries.
