McKool Smith Adds International Trial Lawyer Tom Bayko

May 9, 2013 Mark Curriden

International trial lawyer Tom Bayko has moved from D.C.-based Hogan Lovells to McKool Smith as a principal in the firm’s Houston and New York offices. His arrival mark’s the firm’s entry into international dispute resolution.

“Tom is a remarkable trial lawyer with decades of experience handling cross-border disputes,” McKool Smith Co-Founder and Chairman Mike McKool said. “His expertise and track record in high-stakes trials and arbitrations will be extremely valuable to our clients.”

Bayko, who has tried cases under the applicable laws of more than 30 countries, focuses his practice on cross-border litigation and arbitration, with specific emphasis on disputes in the energy and financial institution sectors.

The University of Illinois College of Law graduate is the tenth lawyer in McKool Smith’s Houston office, which opened in 2009.
