(June 14) – Norton Rose Fulbright is open for business in San Francisco after luring a group of 17 public finance lawyers from Sidley Austin, the firm recently announced.
Seven of those lawyers, including three partners (Jerry McGovern, Eric Tashman and Cliff Gerber), are based in San Francisco and will launch Norton Rose Fulbright’s 12th U.S. office and 53rd worldwide. The other departing Sidley lawyers are located in New York and Washington, D.C.
“We have wanted to expand our firm’s West Coast presence for some time, and San Francisco is the ideal location for our strategic growth,” Linda Addison, U.S. managing partner, said in a statement.
“These accomplished partners give us a solid foundation in San Francisco, as they possess strong connections to the city’s business leaders.”
The Northern California office is the firm’s second in California. Norton Rose Fulbright also has an outpost in Los Angeles.
