Babst Calland is the latest national law firm to plant its flag in Texas.
The 155-lawyer Pittsburgh law firm has entered one of the hottest legal markets in the country by acquiring The Chambers Law Firm in Houston. Les Chambers, Ryan Chambers and Coleman Anglin join Babst Calland as shareholders with associate Nataliya Tipton.
“These highly-regarded oil and gas attorneys are a natural fit in advancing our firm’s vision to continue to expand our geographic footprint to serve clients’ needs in the development of the Permian Basin and other major and emerging shale plays in the country,” Donald Bludorn II, managing shareholder of Babst Calland, said in a statement.
The newest Babst Calland attorneys represent exploration and production companies doing business in the Mid-Continent (Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma) and the Appalachian Basin.
Les Chambers will serve as the managing shareholder of Babst Calland’s seventh office nationwide. The firm also has outposts in Canton, Ohio; Charleston, West Virginia; Sewell, New Jersey; State College, Pennsylvania; and Washington, D.C.
