(Aug. 26) – After moving into six floors and 77,000 square feet of space in the new Frost Tower, Polsinelli recently announced it deepened its bench in real estate finance and health care litigation in Dallas with the addition of five attorneys.

Shareholder Allen Dickey and associates William B. Farnsworth and John W. Turnage expand the firm’s ability to serve the needs of real estate lending clients. Shareholder David E. Olesky and of counsel Laurie Pierce focus on complex litigation matters that involve defending and protecting health care professionals in cases related to catastrophic injuries or death.

“We’ve grown our Dallas office more than tenfold since opening less than four years ago,” Jonathan Henderson, managing partner of Polsinelli’s Dallas office, said in a statement. “Strong partnerships with our clients are driving our growth while also enabling us to attract North Texas’ top attorneys, as evidenced by our latest additions.”

Dickey, who joins from Munsch Hardt, said he was looking to jump to a larger, national firm that was focused on growing in Dallas.

“Most lenders look to national firms to handle their work,” he said. “It is tough to get on an approved list as a regional firm.”

Dickey has recently advised Toronto-based Timbercreek Asset Management on a series of mezzanine loans and Dallas-based Chief Partners LP on a loan closing. He says it was important for him to be at a firm that can handle “six, seven, eight loans at a time.

“I’ve been busier here than I have been in the last seven years,” said Dickey, who officially started at Polsinelli in June.
