(Sept. 19) – Kansas City-based Polsinelli continues to grow its Texas outposts. Healthcare law expert Mark Armstrong is joining the firm’s Houston office as a shareholder.

Armstrong was most recently at national health care law firm Epstein Beck Green, which has a small Houston office. He says he jumped at the opportunity to join an “exceptional” full-service firm with a “preeminent” health care practice.

“Its national scope coupled with its growing Texas presence made it an outstanding platform for my health care practice,” said Armstrong, who worked as a sales representative for pharmaceutical giant Pfizer for seven years before going to law school.

The South Texas College of Law graduate represents health care providers in government audit investigations. He regularly advises clients on compliance matters, health care fraud and antitrust investigations, peer reviews and administrative hearings and reimbursement issues.

In addition to maintaining regulatory compliance, Armstrong says a key issue facing his clients is protecting patient privacy and the security of their protected health information.
