(Aug. 25) – Porter Hedges has extended its lease in downtown Houston at 1000 Main for 13 years with additional renewal options, according to a press release issued by CBRE earlier this week.

The full-service law firm’s lease is for 105,026 square feet of space it has been subleasing from Reliant-NRG since 2005. 1000 Main is also home to Shell, Sanchez Energy and UBS.

“The long-term lease renewal of our current location at 1000 Main, one of downtown Houston’s premier locations, is an exciting and important moment for our firm. Our space is truly unique and has played a significant part in Porter Hedges becoming one of the leading law firms in Texas,” Rob Reedy, managing partner of the firm, said.

“We are thrilled to also have the opportunity to redesign this space in the coming months to make it a state of the art location for our lawyers, staff and clients for many years to come.”

Porter Hedges was represented by CBRE’s Charles Gordon, Brandon Clarke, Paul Penland and Ryan Roth.
