Quinn Emanuel Elevates Christopher D. Porter to Co-Chair of National Trial Practice

January 15, 2025 Krista Torralva

Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has tapped its co-managing partner of the Houston office, Christopher D. Porter, to serve as co-chair of the national trial practice group.

Porter, whose practice focuses on business litigation representing plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts, has worked at Quinn Emanuel for more than six years.

Prior to joining Quinn Emanuel, Porter spent about a decade at Yetter Coleman where he made partner in 2015.

Porter’s list of clients has included American Airlines and Hewlett Packard. While at Yetter Coleman, Porter worked on a pro bono basis to help represent New York City advocacy group Children’s Rights in its foster care reform case against Texas.

Porter is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. He obtained his undergraduate degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Texas at El Paso. He worked as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Philip R. Martinez of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
