(June 26) – Litigation powerhouse Quinn Emanuel has lured trial lawyer Chris Porter to its Houston office.
Porter was previously at Yetter Coleman, where he made partner in 2015. His trial practice includes experience in breach of contract and trade secret claims, business torts and antitrust disputes. American Airlines and Hewlett Packard are two of his biggest clients.
In case that received media attention, Porter represented former Houston Astros Pitcher Brandon Backe in a lawsuit contending police caused him career-ending injuries at a 2008 wedding party.
“As the largest law firm in the world devoted solely to business litigation and arbitration, Quinn Emanuel provides an outstanding platform to try high-stakes cases for a vast array of clients,” Porter said in a LinkedIn post three days ago.
Porter is the 10th lawyer and third partner in Quinn Emanuel’s Houston outpost.
