Reed Smith has lured Houston commodities expert Kirsten Polyansky as a partner.
Polyansky previously co-chaired the global commodities team at Haynes and Boone. She has led numerous complex financing arrangements for refineries and other critical energy infrastructure in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Germany.
The SMU Dedman School of Law graduate focuses her practice on commercial transactions involving commodities trading, marketing and logistics in the midstream and downstream oil sectors, as well as related regulatory permitting/licensing matters.
Prior to joining Haynes and Boone in 2014, Polyansky worked in-house in the commodities division of Barclays.
Also making the move to Reed Smith with Polyansky is Jessica Cortez, who has joined as of counsel. Cortez is a former managing counsel at BHP.
