The Rosewood Corporation announced Wednesday that long-time general counsel C. Jedson Nau is “scaling back” his work for the Dallas-based real estate and investment firm and that Sinead Clifford Soesbe is taking his place.
Soesbe was a senior counsel for nearly a decade at Energy Future Holdings and then Vistra Energy, which was spun off during EFH’s lengthy and expensive bankruptcy.
A 2000 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, Soesbe spent more than eight years practicing at Locke Lord.
Rosewood hired Soesbe in June 2018 as senior associate general counsel. She took over the top legal job earlier this month.
“Sinead is an outstanding attorney with significant corporate experience,” Rosewood CEO John Dziminski said in a written statement. “Since joining Rosewood last year, she has demonstrated leadership and expertise to work seamlessly with our wide range of corporate interests.”
Nau had been general counsel at Rosewood for 19 years and will have the title senior counsel/senior vice president.
Rosewood’s chairman, Schuyler Marshall, is a prominent trial lawyer and was a partner at Thompson & Knight for a couple of decades.
