Dallas-based bankruptcy and litigation boutique Ross & Smith announced Thursday that it has inked a business partnership with Offit Kurman, a 280-attorney full-service firm founded in Maryland that now has 20 offices across the U.S.
In its press release, Offit Kurman, which reported revenue of $167 million in 2024, said “entering the Texas market has been an objective” for the firm for a few years.
Offit Kurman Chairman Ted Offit said the affiliation with Ross & Smith deepens the firm’s “capabilities in complex bankruptcy and restructuring” and continues the firm’s “strategy of partnering with talented, entrepreneurial attorneys who share our vision for client service and growth.”
“The Dallas/Ft. Worth market is a critical hub for business, finance, technology, energy, and entrepreneurial ventures — industries that align closely with the businesses we serve nationwide,” Offit said in the announcement. “Looking ahead, the firm is committed to deepening its presence in Texas, with plans to add more Texas-based attorneys and open more offices in Texas.”
Ross & Smith managing shareholder Frances Smith said Offit Kurman’s “national platform, client-focus and entrepreneurial culture including mid-market pricing make this affiliation the right next step for our team and our clients.”
“Together, we can provide even greater resources while staying true to the values that have defined our firm,” Smith said.
