(July 5) – Commercial real estate giant CBRE recently announced that Sidley Austin signed a long-term lease renewal and added 30,000 square feet to its Houston office footprint at Wells Fargo Plaza.
Sidley, which occupied 50,000 square feet, has grown to 68 attorneys since opening a Houston outpost in 2012. The firm will now have a total of 80,000 square feet.
“We’ve doubled our size in Houston over the last several years by adding
exceptionally talented associates and partners who were very sought-after in this market,” Kevin Lewis, co-managing partner of Sidley’s Houston office, said in a statement.
“That created a good problem: we ran out of office space.”
Kevin Kushner, a senior vice president in CBRE’s law firm practice group, represented Sidley in the transaction. He was assisted by Todd Lippman and James Whalen from CBRE’s Chicago office.
