(May 19) – Sidley Austin announced this week that energy mergers and acquisitions pro Marc Rose has joined the firm’s Dallas office.
Rose was most recently at Vinson & Elkins. He says Sidley offered him an “exciting opportunity” in Dallas.
“I could see the firm was anxious to build on its Texas practice,” he said.
Yvette Ostolaza, managing partner of Sidley’s Dallas office, said adding Rose was a natural fit because he is someone they already shared clients with.
“We continue to grow our corporate practice in Dallas, particularly in energy,” said Ostolaza, who also noted that tax expert Banks Bruce from Weil will be joining Sidley as counsel on June 1.
Rose focuses his practice on energy transactions and private equity investments for upstream, midstream and oilfield services companies.
