By Brooks Igo
(June 8) – Dallas litigation boutique Simon, Ray & Winikka nearly doubled in size after announcing the additions of Katie Colopy, Jeffrey Joyce and Michael Rice.
The three partners are all veterans of Jones Day, though Joyce most recently served as principal, general counsel and chief operating officer for zIngenuity Inc., a mortgage investment, consulting and outsourcing firm.
“Our work has steadily grown since we opened our doors three years ago, and our existing and future clients will greatly benefit from the expertise of these highly respected and talented attorneys,” Craig Simon, firm co-founder, said in a statement.
Colopy focuses her practice on employment and labor law. She has counseled clients on claims of employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets and wage and hour violations.
Joyce represents clients in disputes involving class actions, product liability, toxic and mass torts, securities law, employment law, fraud allegations, business contracts, franchising agreements and trademark violation claims.
Rice has expertise in complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation, including significant class-action claims.
