Spencer Fane Adds Energy, Banking Expertise in North Texas Offices

May 24, 2019 Brooks Igo

Spencer Fane recently expanded its energy practice in Dallas by picking up partner Brad D’Amico.

D’Amico was previously at Cantey Hanger. He focuses his practice on joint ventures and exploration, development and operating agreements in the upstream oil and gas sector.

“Energy clients are tackling complex, broad reaching issues, and they expect advice tailored to their needs that takes into account the financial and regulatory context in which they operate,” Jason Cross, Spencer Fane’s Dallas office managing partner, said in a statement. “Brad’s experience is a perfect fit for our clients in this area.”

D’Amico’s clients include producers, non-operated working interest owners, private equity funds and family offices. He also handles GP/LP and management team negotiations, securities litigation and government enforcement defense.

Spencer Fane’s signing of D’Amico comes shortly after the Kansas City-based law firm added former Husch Blackwell partner Brian Memory to its Plano office in April.

Memory, a former assistant general counsel and senior vice president at PlainsCapital Bank, advises financial institutions on legal compliance and operational matters and assists in all aspects of the lending process.
