(Sept. 29) – The St. Mary’s University Law Alumni Association announced this week the three honorees for its annual Distinguished Law Graduate Dinner.

The Honorable David Ezra (J.D. ’72) and George Spencer, Jr. (J.D. ’77) will receive the Distinguished Law Graduate Award.

Ezra is serving as senior judge for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division. He is the only judge from St. Mary’s to be elected as a member of the Judicial Conference of the United States.

Spencer is a shareholder at Clemens & Spencer, where he has practiced since 1978. He has a trial and appellate practice.

Emmanuel Garcia (J.D. ’11) will receive the Distinguished Young Alumnus Award. He currently serves as chief counsel for the Department of Homeland Security.

Ezra, Spencer and Garcia will be honored at the dinner, which raises money to fund scholarships and student services, tomorrow night at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio.
