(April 30) – The State Bar of Texas announced that Laura Gibson, a partner at Dentons in Houston, was selected chair-elect of its board of directors during the board’s meeting in Fort Worth on Friday.
Gibson, a past president of the Houston Bar Association, will take office at the State Bar’s Annual Meeting in June.
In 2013, Gibson received the Trailblazer Outside Counsel Award from the Texas Minority Counsel Program. She is also a two-time recipient of the HBA President’s Awards.
